Council on Aging, Inc., serving St. Clair County Sit Host/Hostess in Port Huron, Michigan
The Site Host/Hostess serves meals and cleans up serving area, maintaining records, forms and project income. Provide attractive meals in a congenial atmosphere. Work is performed under the direction of the Associate Administrator and the Food Services Manager.
The Site Host/Hostess may be called upon to do any or all of the following:
Communicate effectively with seniors in the role of Host/Hostess.
Prepare and hold foods at proper temperatures.
Set dining room service in a sanitary and attractive manner.
Help in planned activities.
Send all kitchen equipment back to the central kitchen on a daily basis in a neat and clean condition.
Keep serving site clean and orderly.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, etc.
Responsible for following Health Department rules and regulations.
Supervise volunteers.
Responsible for proper and secure storage of all stock.
Keep minimum inventory.
Responsible to turn in all donations and records to appropriate personnel.
Attend meetings and training sessions as authorized by Executive Director.
Other duties as requested by the Executive Director of designee.
Experience in bulk cooking, according to planned menus, Health Department rules and regulations.
