Naval Facilities Engineering Command SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Port Hueneme, California

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-14. This position has a control point equivalent to the GS-13, Step 10 level. Responsibilities You will lead a multi-functional team responsible for Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) planning and logistics management. You will resolve issues affecting the operational readiness in the areas of logistics and Supply Support to ensure warfighter objectives are met. You will develop the teams funding requirements focused on ensuring new sustainment technologies needed to achieve higher operational readiness requirements and improves issues addressed by the fleet. Youi will manage the teams Lead Technical Publications and ensures commercial manuals are submitted by the contractor as part of the "system" documentation. You will communicate both in writing and speaking in order to clearly address issues and to convey appropriate course of action to resolve such issues. You will manage Logistics Integration and works closely with Programs to identify convergent indicators of degradation and strives to eliminate problems as early as possible. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 or NT-2 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing a team and multiple projects to resolve strategic and tactical problems or issues affecting programs; 2) Developing recommendations to address issues with Life Cycle Management Plans; 3) Directing the integration of separate Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements of Sustainment Engineering, Maintenance Planning, Technical Data, Manpower, Training (which includes acquisition and procurement support), and quality assurance into Product Support activities needed to sustain the system; 4) Planning, programing, and budgeting regulations, guidelines, and procedures, and having thorough knowledge of military facilities, planning, acquisition, and management processes to prepare long-range and short-range planning guidance in compliance with broad agency policies and objectives; and 5) Managing product support activities including ensuring all operational usage data is collected, analyzed, and acted upon as required as well as oversee currency of product support strategies and establishes long term plans for major changes.
