CpK Interior Products Student - Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineer in Port Hope, Ontario
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
As a member of the Engineering team the candidate will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and assist / lead with a multitude of engineering projects.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
Complete Continuous Improvement projects (Kaizens) on projects to improve safety, quality and machine availability (uptime) and performance as assigned by Engineering Manager.
Supporting work instructions for the manufacturing and injection processes in the plant
Following weekly and monthly production reports using the everyday production data
Assist as required the Industrial Engineering team in time studies and data collection across the plant for process improvement projects.
Assist engineering teams in project management for the plant projects (6-axis robot installations) and product launches.
Occasional weekend work may be required in order to support engineering, facilities and/or production requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge/Skill/Experience):
Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Previous experience in manufacturing an asset
