As a Data Engineer at LexisNexis, you'll ensure accurate collection, processing of primary data. Your expertise will contribute to developing innovative data management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Developing innovative strategies and processes for ingesting, managing, and fixing data in bulk

• Managing and monitoring various data feeds through the system and handling issues as they arise

• Writing queries, functions, and ETL jobs

• Consulting on feature design, implementation, and relevant metrics

• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems with the LexisNexis Data Pipeline

• Performing capacity monitoring and short and long-term capacity planning

• Performing capacity monitoring and short and long-term capacity planning

Requirements

• 3+ years experience with AWS products

• Demonstrate a deep understanding and outstanding expertise in AWS products acquired through extensive practical experience over time.

• Be able to demonstrate intimate familiarity with RDS, ElasticSearch, Lambda, S3, EC2s

• Have hands-on experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, EMR, ECS, Kinesis, Database Migration Services, Lambda

• Hold AWS credentials (an advantage)

• Be able to demonstrate DevOps Experience (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)

• Be an expert Python programmer (Pandas, Boto3)

• Have the ability to provide guidance to data scientists, engineers, and other team members

• Be proficient with query languages (SQL, JSON Parsing, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch)
