Honor Community Health is a 501c3 Federally Qualified Health Center co-located within 20 locations. Our mission is to provide for the health and wellness needs of the underserved of Oakland County through the provision of comprehensive, integrated primary, behavioral health, and dental care. We serve all populations regardless of their ability to pay. Our team is passionate about serving the people of Oakland County.

Position Description

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the full time, exempt Director, Health Center Operations is responsible for leading Honor’s day-to-day clinical operations, guiding clinical policy and workflow development and implementation, and managing clinical support team members across Honor locations. The Director is a critical member Honor Community Health’s leadership team with responsibilities that drive effective, high quality, clinical care, teamwork and communication in Honor’s care teams as well as support the organization’s achievement of clinical performance outcomes, short- and long-term strategic goals, and a culture focused on patient centricity and service excellence.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health services, public health, public administration, business, or related management field is required. BSN or a Master’s degree in related field strongly preferred.

  • 5 years of progressive experience in health care service delivery.

  • 3 or more years of recent management experience within the healthcare industry is required.

  • Experience in a primary care setting is strongly preferred. Experience with Federally Qualified Health Centers is also highly desired.

  • Use of and understanding of electronic health records (EHR) is required.

  • Proficient use and understanding of Microsoft applications.

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively – via presentations, verbally, and in emails - with staff, providers, and a diverse group of leaders (internally and at a payer partner level).

  • Process excellence and/or use of LEAN Six Sigma methodology highly desired. 

  • Current Michigan licensure associated with any professional degrees or occupation.
