Oakland Schools Campus Operations Supervisor in Pontiac, Michigan
*IN THIS ROLE: * You will supervise the day-to-day non-instructional business activities following Oakland Schools policies and procedures of the Technical Campus. You will service all the campus systems, procedures and processes related to non-instructional operations.
*WHAT WE NEED *
- Supervises non-instructional staff and is responsible for hiring, training, coaching, evaluating performance, and when necessary, disciplining staff.
- Coordinates professional development and field trip paperwork, scheduling, and transportation.
- Schedules, orders, and proctor's national certification assessments.
- Coordinates with instructors, Special Populations consultants and Technology Services to support students.
- Oversees purchases, teaching supply budgets, and student activity accounts.
- Creates and publishes building newsletter.
- Maintains inventory records, including instructional equipment dispositions.
- Monitors and maintains the campus medical procedures/plans, medication procedures, student medical information and documentation. Maintains communication with parents regarding medication expiration and/or replenishment.
- Manages records and purchases for donations, fundraisers, clubs and organizations, scholarships, and grants.
- Assists Dean, Student Services staff and Program Teacher Leaders to obtain quotes and completes necessary paperwork for purchases.
- Assists with day and evening events.
- Works with Facilities, Technology, other Student Services staff, and building instructors to develop and implement classroom improvement plans.
- Works with Facilities to ensure a safe learning environment for students and staff. Organizes and implements safety training. Coordinates safety procedures such as fire, lockdown, and tornado drills.
- Manages staff end-of-the-year checkout lists that includes ensuring that grades have been entered, Self-Reviews are submitted, inventory is taken, deposits have been made, and requests for supplies, work orders, and technology services tickets have been input.
- Maintains textbook inventory.
- Helps organize and manage daily operations for Summer Camp.
- Manages the building shared calendar for internal and external room reservations, upcoming student events, guest speakers, and meetings.
- Works with Facilities and Culinary departments to ensure all setups and meeting food/beverage requests are being met.
- Works with Communications to make needed updates to the OSTC campus website page related to campus events and content for campus publicity.
- Performs evaluation of non-instructional staff.
- Manages staff van authorization, gas receipts, and driving logs for campus vehicles.
- Manages, approves, and follows up on building work orders.
- Completes annual Green School application.
- Supervises students during passing times.
- Coordinates drug sweeps involving the appropriate local police department and K9 units.
- Works with Technology Services to follow up on service tickets that have been entered by instructional staff.
- Manages Capital Requests for instructional staff.
- Attends quarterly Supervisor and Managers meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
*WHAT YOU NEED: *
- Associate's degree with coursework in Business, Management, Finance or related field.
- Four to five years of supervisory/managerial experience
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification
- Pass Oakland Schools' Driver Authorization
SALARY DETAILS: $63,517.00 - $73,660.00 based on experience, with the potential of earning up to $79,325.00 Annually / Exempt Position / 12-month work year
Above salary will be prorated at 85%.
