Williams International Assistant Technician (Repair Station) - Part Time in Pontiac, Michigan

The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a part time (10 - 20 hours per week) Assistant Technician in our FAA-certificated Repair Station. As an Assistant Technician, you will assist with completing basic repairs on turbine engine hardware in addition to coordinating complex hardware repairs with responsible departments.  Other responsibilities include manually documenting engine hardware transactions and general housekeeping.  

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school degree, or equivalent and be enrolled in a technical trade school or college program
  • Must be able to work 10 to 20 hours per week (flexible work schedule available to accommodate school schedules)
  • Basic computer skills, required
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum).
  • U. S. citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S.
