Actalent 3rd Shift Engine Development Technician in Pontiac, Michigan

Job Title: 3rd Shift Engine Development TechnicianJob Description

Work with Engineers in the Pontiac Propulsion Labs. You will be part of a team of up to 6 Engine Development Technicians. Engine Development involves calibration development, mechanical experiments, fabrication, and manual test points to achieve 60% engine calibration before sending it to Engine Validation for further testing and failure state evaluation. Responsibilities include the mechanical swapping of engine components, assembly/modification, and/or fabrication of engines for testing, fabricating components on the engine and test stand/dynos, and instrumentations between the engine and the dyno. You will also perform TIG welding on parts and components.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in PONTIAC, MI.

Work Environment

You will need to have your own basic tools, but a toolbox and any unique or specialty tools will be provided. The work environment includes a very clean test lab/garage at the Engineering Headquarters, a full-service cafeteria operating from 6am to 2:30pm, an air-conditioned facility, and a large parking area, though you may have to walk up to a quarter mile to enter the building.
