Engine Development Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a 3rd Shift Engine Development Technician where you will work with Engineers in the labs to conduct engine development which includes calibration development, mechanical experiments, fabrication, and manual test points. Your role will involve mechanical swapping of engine components to test different combinations for optimum performance, assembly and modification of existing engines for testing, and fabrication of components on engine and test stand/dynos. You will also be responsible for instrumentation between the engine and the dyno, and TIG welding parts and components.

Hard Skills

  • Engine knowledge

  • Hands-on engine rebuild, tear down, assembly, repair

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in PONTIAC, MI.

Work Environment

You will need to have your own basic tools; a toolbox and any unique or specialty tools will be provided. The work environment is a very clean Test Lab/Garage at our Engineering Headquarters, which includes a full-service cafeteria available from 6am to 2:30pm, an air-conditioned facility, and ample parking (note: walking up to 1/4 mile to the building may be required).
