Accountant Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or other relevant field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing
  • Quickbooks ProAdvisor certification required
  • Minimum 1 years of experience as a CPA in a professional setting
  • Corporate and personal tax experience is a plus
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks and financial statements required
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment

Accountant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reconciling the companys bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
  • Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
  • Managing income and expenditure accounts
  • Generating the companys financial reports using income and expenditure data
  • Keeping a check on the companys finances based on financial status
  • Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
  • Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
