Accountant Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or other relevant field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing
- Quickbooks ProAdvisor certification required
- Minimum 1 years of experience as a CPA in a professional setting
- Corporate and personal tax experience is a plus
- Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
- Familiarity with Quickbooks and financial statements required
- Outstanding communication skills
- Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
Accountant Duties and Responsibilities
- Reconciling the companys bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
- Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
- Managing income and expenditure accounts
- Generating the companys financial reports using income and expenditure data
- Keeping a check on the companys finances based on financial status
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
- Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
