Note: The hourly rate for this position is $25 - $30 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday | 8 hour shifts

  • Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures

  • Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems

  • Troubleshoot motor and control systems

  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems

  • Review blueprints and building code specifications to determine work details and procedures

  • Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools

  • Perform semiskilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment

  • Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code as well as all safety codes

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of recent professional commercial electrical work experience

  • Must have the ability to use all power and hand tools associated with the trade and perform all tasks with little or no supervision or assistance

  • Must have thorough knowledge of electricity and associated circuits and be able to determine the proper material for each job

  • Knowledge of standard electrical code requirements

  • Ability to work effectively from ladders and scaffolding with due regard to safety for self and others

  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions

  • Able to work well as part of a team or independently

  • Must provide own hand tools

  • Must have the ability to assume responsibility and effect repairs/complete tasks without assistance

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods throughout the day

  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Prior experience using hand tools, power tools, conduit benders
