Adecco is currently assisting a well establish client in the manufacturing sector hire a Senior Staff Accountant in Pomona, CA. This is a temp-to- hire job opportunity with a Monday- Friday, schedule. Preferably with experience in the manufacturing/pharmaceutical company

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 DOE

Job Purpose

Sr Staff Accountant will report to Site Financial Controller and play an integral role in the monthly financial close process.

Key Responsibilities

· Specific month end closing responsibilities include certain asset accounts, A/R and A/P accounts, and certain current liabilities

· Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts

· Generate monthly journal entries and maintain supporting documentation

· Perform full-scope Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities, issuing credit memos for A/R, vouchering invoices for payment, preparing and performing weekly check runs, etc. Review and code invoices to appropriate accounts

· Reconcile vendor and customer statements and resolve discrepancies

· Aid in implementation and adherence to internal controls and procedures

· Provide audit support through generation of accurate schedules and documents

· Compile information for external reporting, such as: 1099 reporting and property taxes

· Utilize QuickBooks to input, retrieve, or display accounting information

· Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner

· Ad hoc projects including analysis and interpretation of data, policy and procedure creation and modification, variance and trend analysis, and general department innovation

Key Performance Indicators

· Effective working relationships between the sites and sharing of best practices within Dechra organisation.

· Deliver all commitments for monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting on time and in full

Education: Degree in Accounting
