Mechanical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer with expertise in metal fabrication and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be self-driven, and have a solid background in structural metals. Experience with gears, gearmotors, hydraulics, and airflow systems is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Solid Edge (preferred) or similar CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor)

  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering experience

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable

  • Familiarity with gears, gearmotors, hydraulics, and airflow systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and fabricate mechanical and structural drawings

  • Conduct structural and mechanical analyses

  • Assist in improving manufacturing processes and product design

  • Specify materials and parts for production

  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting

  • Collaborate on design improvements and production efficiency

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • 5 years of experience in metalworking production

  • Strong proficiency with Solid Edge or similar CAD software (SolidWorks/Inventor)

  • Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Experience in food machinery design and fabrication is an advantage

  • 1+ years of experience with structural system analysis using strength of materials and finite element methods

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems, such as Made to Manage, is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience with DraftSight or similar programs
