Siemens Industry is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for their Pomona, CA manufacturing facility. This person will have a key role in the growth of the engineering department and overall facility. Our facility is growing and looking to add a talented mechanical engineer to expand our capabilities. This person will review specifications, design steel and copper parts, create assembly drawings, bills of materials and equipment layouts for power distribution equipment. The role will report to the engineering manager and will have no direct reports.

We are looking for Mechanical Engineer. This position will be based at Pomona California.

[Role Description]

  • Review customer technical specifications and verify the Siemens solution meets the customer requirements.

  • Work independently and/or with a team to create required customer documentation, typically including custom mechanical assemblies, bills of materials, and equipment layouts.

  • Utilize Creo (Pro/E) 3D software package along with Teamcenter to create steel and copper part and assemblies.

  • Provide factory support during the manufacture of your projects.

  • Position requires the ability to successfully interact with application engineering, R&D, sales, customer, and manufacturing production personnel.

  • Assist in training other engineers and employees as required.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar

  • 1-3 years experience creating mechanical assemblies

  • Working knowledge of 3D design software

  • Strong work ethic with a focus on exceeding customer expectations

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Switchgear/Switchboard products

  • Experience in a fast paced production engineering environment

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Familar with Electrical schematics and electrical components

  • Skilled in Creo (Pro/E) 3D design software

  • Experience with a data management system, preferable Teamcenter

  • Experience with Visual Basic programming or other programming languages

  • Experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP.

  • Proven track record of innovative thinking and process improvement

  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma

  • The pay range for this position is <$72,900 - $98,400>. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
