We’re assembling a team to lead Southern California Edison's (SCE) Customer GridEdge (CGE)/Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) 2.0 initiative, a multi-billion-dollar investment set to redefine the industry. Advanced metering is essential for shaping the grid of tomorrow and unlocking benefits for SCE’s customers, the grid itself, and California as a whole. Together, we’ll drive business transformation across the enterprise with state-of-the-art measurement, communication, and analytics systems.

Become a Senior Advisor at SCE and build a better tomorrow. In this role you will perform several functions, including providing strategic leadership and thought partnership, leading business development activities, executing on program deliverables, and supporting executive communications and regulatory submissions. You will lead cross-functional teams to develop the business case and funding application, communicate with partners on the project, track spending/ forecasts for use in various business applications, and support business decisions on technology selection and deployment.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Drive for results by developing project schedules for cross-cutting workstreams with numerous dependencies and constraints, as well as manage the overall process to ensure timely deliverables that directly impact overall CGE project success.

  • Collaborate with teams to gather information and develop work products such as business case, technology roadmap, and regulatory funding request.

  • Resolve emerging conflicts to ensure results are achieved and regularly communicate status updates to team members.

  • Communicate with impact and lead governance activities on CGE project, strategic vision, and progress; present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Identify cross-functional work that may have business impact and mitigate issues and/or create efficiencies between competing work and project.

  • Track spending, forecasting, and tasks; socialize information on project status.

  • Implement new processes or tools to enhance the program management organizational function.

The essentials

  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading projects with cross-functional impact and/or strategy/business development.

The preferred

  • Bachelor of Science or Arts degree.

  • Experience developing executive-level communications.

  • Experience with utility regulatory filings and processes.

  • Experience with project budgeting and/ or company operating plans.

  • Experience with delivery of large integrated IT solution projects.

  • Familiarity with utility meter technologies, data management systems, or grid information systems.

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
