Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.

Job Summary

As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you will provide specialized technical expertise to support our Quality program. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements. You will play a critical role in improving product system’s safety, reliability, and maintainability by applying performance evaluation and prediction methods.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized technical support in quality-related areas, including inspection techniques, testing methods, and statistical analysis.

  • Assist in organizing and delivering quality training programs to team members and staff to enhance their understanding of quality principles.

  • Participate in quality audits to assess compliance with established standards and identify areas for improvement.

  • Use quality tools and principles to contribute to problem-solving efforts and assess the effectiveness of solutions.

  • Create comprehensive inspection reports to document work area conditions and ensure compliance with quality requirements.

  • Make recommendations for corrective actions based on inspection findings and quality assessments to address any deviations from standards.

  • Apply knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution.

  • Take responsibility for maintaining the quality standards of our products, procedures, and materials used in our work scope.

  • Ensure that the quality management function aligns with the performance needs of our product lines to achieve organizational objectives.

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of material received from vendors and vendor site inspections to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

  • Assist in the documentation of nonconformities and follow-up audits on corrective actions to address quality issues effectively.

  • Conduct inspections across all functional areas of the project to ensure compliance with documented procedures and contract requirements.

  • Develop quality inspection checklists to streamline inspection processes and ensure thoroughness.

  • Keep appropriate personnel and supervision informed of work progress, including any challenges and achievements encountered.

  • Conduct yourself at all times with a high level of professionalism and integrity.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must have a High School Diploma and at least 3 years of combined experience in quality auditing, inspection, and maintenance.

  • Requires experience implementing corrective and preventive action programs.

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of Quality Management.

  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio) for documentation and reporting purposes.

  • Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in a related field.

  • Certifications such as ASQ, Lean, ISO, Six Sigma, or Project Management Professional.
