JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Must be licensed in the state to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Experience
Prefer one year of experience as a physical therapist assistant. Must have high level cognitive and perceptual skills.

Therapist must be able to perform the following physical job functions with or without reasonable accommodation: Lift up to 50 lb. from floor to knuckle occasionally; Lift up to 25 lbs from knuckle to shoulder occasionally; Lift p to 10 lb from knuckle to shoulder frequently; Lift up to 10 lb. overhead occasionally; Pivot transfer up to 200 lb. occasionally; Carry up to 20 lb., 100 feet occasionally; Push/pull up to 75 lb., 500 feet frequently; Stand continuously for up to 2 hours; Use fine hand manipulation bilaterally occasionally; Use heavy grasp bilaterally frequently; Visually acuity corrected to 20/20; Tactile discrimination; Squat frequently; Maintain appropriate body mechanics with all lifting/ pulling/ transferring.
JOB SUMMARY
The physical therapist assistant performs selected patient treatments under the general supervision of the staff physical therapist, director, or his or her designee, and has the responsibility for the overall direction, utilization, supervision, and instruction of supportive staff, volunteers, and students utilized in the department. Performs other diverse duties as requested or required.
