Prep Network Strategic Program Manager in Plymouth, Minnesota

Position Summary

Prep Network is looking for an energetic and assertive Strategic Program Manager candidate with a proven track record of success in uncovering new opportunities, growing relationships with our most valuable clients, and maximizing customer satisfaction. This role will ensure long-term success through strategic account planning, consultative sales approaches, and aligning client needs with business objectives.  You will be responsible for managing and prioritizing opportunities, qualifying potential new opportunities, understanding client business drivers, building long-term partnerships, presenting solutions, and closing business. 

This Strategic Program Manager will control their own success in our business growth by proactively targeting and building strategic partnerships with premier programs across the country.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management and Relationship Building

  • Establish deep relationships with clients by understanding their recruiting priorities, goals, and competitive interests, while providing strategic guidance to optimize tournament schedules.

  • Build strong customer intimacy with high-ego stakeholders through reliability, transparency, and a deep understanding of their unique needs, while attending events to demonstrate commitment.

  • Engage frequently with clients, offering tailored solutions and maintaining continuous communication to anticipate and address shifts in their needs, fostering long-term loyalty.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-visibility clients, addressing concerns, ensuring satisfaction, and generating referral business through established relationships.

    Account Development and Growth

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-visibility programs by showcasing the unique value proposition of participating in Prep Network events.

  • Manage a budget to secure premier programs through sponsorships and partnerships, aligning recruitment efforts with client goals and competitive interests.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions and strategies that support client business objectives and growth.

  • Continuously research competitors to ensure Prep Network tournaments offer compelling reasons for participation for high visibility programs, and lead quarterly business reviews to track performance and growth progress.

    Sales Planning

  • Develop and execute a growth-oriented sales plan, establish a pipeline, identify key opportunities and risks, and track progress toward goals.

  • Continuously assess and adjust sales strategies and activity levels to meet goals, proactively communicating any unexpected changes in opportunities.

  • Tailor program plans and strategies to specific clients, strengthening relationships and driving long-term growth.

  • Manage and prioritize a qualified pipeline, maintaining consistent forecasting and activity levels to achieve sales objectives.

    Sales Process

  • Lead clients through the sales process with a consultative approach, prioritizing their needs and helping them make informed decisions and expanding their vision positioning Prep Network's events as part of a larger development plan for their athletes.

  • Manage and progress a qualified pipeline of opportunities, maintaining consistent activity to achieve sales goals.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in all stages of the sales process, from researching and qualifying opportunities to presenting tailored solutions and closing deals.

  • Engage in deep discovery with clients to understand their goals and challenges, effectively communicating Prep Network's unique value proposition, while addressing objections and securing commitments.

    Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with the Strategic Program Manager and Program Success Manager to share insights and strategies that increase team participation.

  • Foster a creative marketing mindset, helping develop campaigns that highlight the involvement of high-profile programs.

  • Provide feedback to improve future tournaments based on client input and experiences.

  • Provide regular updates to the leadership team on account performance and growth opportunities.

    Company Systems and Administration

  • Document and maintain detailed client and prospect information in the company CRM, including program size, competitors, tournament commitments, and key contacts.

  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts and pipeline reports to management.

  • Stay proficient in using MS Office tools and follow all company policies and procedures.

  • Utilize EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) tools and processes to help drive focus, accountability, and growth within the organization.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience selling professional services, with sports media and tournament industry experience preferred.

  • Genuine interest and awareness in Prep Network Brands (basketball, volleyball, or football).

  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals using a structured sales process.

  • Client-focused with the ability to anticipate needs and build long-term relationships.

  • Strategic thinker with experience developing account plans aligned with company goals.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with an ability to engage assertive personalities and secure profitable deals.

  • Collaborative team player with strong business acumen and proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Competitive Compensation.  The base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $75,000, with additional incentive opportunities available
