The Lead Material Handler ensures the efficient flow of materials throughout the production process. This role involves overseeing the handling, storage, and distribution of materials, components, and finished products. The Lead Material Handler is responsible for coordinating the activities of the material handling team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and collaborating with various departments to meet production goals.
What you will be doing:
Coordinate the movement of materials to and from production areas, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
Use material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors to transport materials
Oversee loading and unloading of materials, verifying quantities and inspecting for damages
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of material transactions, including receipts, shipments, and transfers
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliation
Work closely with the inventory control team to identify and resolve discrepancies
Implement and enforce inventory control best practices
Lead a team of material handlers, providing guidance, training, and support
Ensure the team adheres to safety protocols and follows established procedures for material handling
Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve the site and team’s goals.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to address material-related issues and ensure a smooth workflow
Conduct regular inspections of process and execution standards
Report and address any safety, quality or performance issues promptly, collaborating with the appropriate stakeholders as needed
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in material handling activities
Implement and communicate improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs
Enforce safety regulations and guidelines to create a secure working environment
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to material handling
Must have for this role:
High School Diploma or equivalent
6+ years related experience in a warehouse environment
Proven experience in material handling and inventory control
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Proficiency in using material handling equipment – i.e. various kinds of forklifts
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in material handling
Knowledge of computer skills required to send and receive emails, use ADP/HRMS, and other systems to communicate with supervisors or any others within Stratasys
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well with others
Nice to have:
Additional education or certification in logistics or material management
Forklift certified preferred

Additional Information:
For this position, the typical annual starting base salary is from $52,000 to $58,240, which does not include variable incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
