Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Plymouth, Minnesota

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in Plymouth, Minnesota, United States. The role involves a mix of HR and payroll responsibilities, with a focus on HR tasks. The successful candidate will be working 100% onsite. Please note: This is a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in new hire onboarding, handling between 10 - 25 onboarding activities weekly

• Provide information related to employee benefits and onboarding to new hires

• Oversee I9 verification, drug screening, and background checks for new hires

• Utilize HRIS, specifically UKG Pro, for managing employee benefits and other HR tasks

• Step in to cover payroll tasks as needed, working in conjunction with the existing Payroll team

• Handle HR-related inquiries and issues, providing timely and effective solutions

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate HR records

• Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures

• Engage in employee relations, fostering a positive work environment

• Utilize HRMS and ADP Workforce Now as part of HR and payroll tasks.

Requirements

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Experience with HRMS and HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems

• Demonstrated ability in Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Knowledge of Compliance and Employee Relations

• Familiarity with UKG Pro software

• Experience in Onboarding procedures

• Ability to conduct Background Checks responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

• Previous experience in a wholesale distribution industry is desirable

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
