Location: Plymouth, MN in office 5 days per week Timeline: This Internship opportunity is for May-August 2025 What's in it for you: You will have the opportunity to own a meaningful, real-life project within the Engineering Department that can directly create a positive impact on Daikin Applied's HVAC Development An opportunity to build relationships with other students beyond your department The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best What you will do: Prepare specifications for power electronic equipment to be used on HVAC equipment Prepare test and qualification plans for power electronic equipment Review test data from power electronic equipment to evaluate suitability and performance Support activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operation testing conform to UL safety certifications Work directly with the subassemblies of the electrical equipment supporting controls products Support activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements Support operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field and internal installations Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and simulation to perform engineering tasks Minimum Qualifications: Junior currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering or related major Exposure to electrical circuits and the different components Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to some of the following electrical power components (variable frequency drives, induction motors, permanent magnet motors, power transformers) Equal Opportunity Employment: It is the policy of Daikin Applied to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of race, creed, color, religion, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, genetic information, marital status, membership or activity in a local commission, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
