Daikin Applied Director- Chief Enterprise Architect in Plymouth, Minnesota

The Chief Enterprise Architect plays a crucial role in shaping the technological landscape of an organization, ensuring that IT investments and initiatives contribute to its overall success and competitiveness. What you will do: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the enterprise architecture (EA) strategy aligned with the organization's overall business strategy. Architecture Governance: Establish and enforce architecture governance processes and standards to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all IT projects and initiatives. Technology Roadmap: Define and maintain the technology roadmap that supports current and future business needs, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. Collaboration: Work closely with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable architectural plans. Innovation: Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies, assessing their potential benefits and risks, and making recommendations for adoption or integration into the enterprise architecture. Risk Management: Identify architectural risks and propose mitigations to ensure the integrity, security, and availability of enterprise systems and data. Leadership: Lead a team of architects and technical experts, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities. Vendor Management: Evaluate third-party solutions and manage vendor relationships to ensure they align with the enterprise architecture strategy and meet business requirements. Compliance: Ensure that the enterprise architecture complies with regulatory and legal requirements, as well as industry standards and best practices. Communication: Communicate the enterprise architecture strategy, plans, and principles to technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering understanding and support across the organization. Ideally starting in development and up through leadership Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Technical Skills: Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies. Proficiency in cloud computing, microservices architecture, cybersecurity principles, and emerging technologies. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and managerial abilities, with experience in leading and developing a team of architects. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical and business requirements and translate them into effective architectural designs. Strategic Vision: Proven track record in developing and implementing enterprise architecture strategies that align with business goals and drive organizational success.
