Great Lakes Management Company is currently seeking a part-time (25-30 hours per week) Accounts Payable Specialist at our corporate office in Plymouth, MN. As part of our Senior Housing with Services Team, this position's responsibilities will include invoice review, invoice data entry, payment processing, and vendor setup / maintenance for multiple properties. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a high attention to detail, thrive in a task driven environment, and be highly self-motivated. You will play a pivotal role processing invoices and payments accurately and efficiently to deliver value to our clients while supporting site staff to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors we serve. Review invoices for appropriate approval, coding, sales tax treatment and accuracy Enter invoices into a web-based accounting system and process edits/corrections as directed by property accountants Process and print vendor payments, payment approval scan for accounting manager, print & stuff for mailing Code and sort incoming AP mail, code and obtain necessary approvals. Communicate with property (on-site) staff on vendor account issues and involve property accountants as needed. Assist property accountants by providing accurate 1099 information and printing year end 1099 preliminary reports for review. Collaborate with property accountants, accounting managers, and CFO to develop new processes Special projects as assigned. Accounts Payable Specialist Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Two-year accounting degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience processing high volume of accounts payable. Previous work experience within a multi-entity environment. High Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail in data entry. Strong ability to self-audit & review data entry to correct entry errors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Respectful of confidential information. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Possess a high level of problem solving and investigative skills. Must be well organized and have good time management skills.
