JOB DESCRIPTION:
Apply electrical and control theory to test, modify and diagnose the electronic and electrical components on all production and plant equipment. Diagnose and resolve causes of electrical and mechanical malfunctions on all equipment. Responsible for plc programming. Assist the maintenance department in installing new electronic/electrical control equipment and making it operational. Develop engineering specifications for electrical control systems and equipment modifications. Provide technical support to the maintenance department when required. Plan, direct and record periodic electrical analysis on the production equipment. Recommend and initiate modifications or replacement of equipment, which fail to meet operating standards. Provide training for the maintenance department on the operation and diagnostics of the machine controls and motor controllers. Research and implement cost effective upgrades to the equipment and facilities. Research and implement the most cost-effective replacement of electrical control parts. Keep updated electrical drawings and schematics on all production and plant equipment. Recommend the electrical spare parts inventory for all new and existing production equipment to insure maximum machine utilization. Provide technical support, if needed, to all other Johnson controls/Johnson controls affiliated production facilities. Provide technical support for the office computers and computer systems. Understand IT systems and perform IT systems administration duties in the absence of the IT systems administrators. Keep abreast with the latest in control technology. Report accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and inform supervisor of known HSE&E conditions which could adversely affect other team members, assets or to the public. Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and ensures safe working procedures in assigned production. Telecommuting: Hybrid. 2 days as work from home. 25% domestic and international travel.
REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field. Additionally, the applicant must have coursework or employment experience with: (1) Statistics & Quantitative Methods; (2) Project Management; (3) Operations Strategy & Mgt; (4) Lean Enterprise & Total Quality; and (5) New Prod Dev & Innovation Strategy.
RATE OF PAY: $88,712.00 -$110,000.00 per year
