Adient US LLC IT Senior Buyer in Plymouth, Michigan
SUMMARY
The IT Software Senior Buyer is part of Adient's global IT Purchasing team and will be responsible for software purchasing, including global payroll and time and attendance software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Negotiate and source IT software.
Ensure purchasing deliverables are met according to project timing and budget.
Negotiate changes, support VAVE activities, sourcing tracking, prepare RFQs,
Support technical feasibility reviews.
Represent purchasing in multifunctional project requirement reviews.
Project status reporting and supplier management.
Ability to work with multi-disciplines (Information Technology, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance).
Clear understanding of supplier terms and conditions.
Ability to negotiate (tactics, techniques, and strategies).
Evaluate cost breakdowns to identify opportunities to reduce overall cost.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience. Automotive industry experience preferred.
Previous experience in IT software purchasing or program management.
Strong excel skills. Strong communication skills.
