"Job#: 2025782  Job Description:  Apex Systems is seeking Lab Technicians for our client for their R&D Lab Projectin the Pittsburgh Area. If interested & open to entry level opportunity.Job Responsibilities:Support R&D of process and product through testing and measurements with existing equipmentPerform upgrades and basic maintenance of lab equipment and instrumentationHelp design and develop new measurement and characterization methods including software development for data acquisitionHands on fabrication and assembly of new and novel equipment and instrumentation for process and product characterizationAssist with planning, coordinating, executing, documenting, and communicating results from complex experiments both in the lab and at production facilitiesDesired Skills/Experience:Experience supporting and maintaining R&D equipment and instruments.Knowledge and proficiency in basic electrical circuitry and design with active componentsSkilled in the use of testing equipment, instrumentation tools, and mechanical systems.Strong background in computers and hardwareExperience in writing robust code in one or more of Python, C, C++, LabVIEWGood communication skills, both verbal and written.Aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on laboratory work, and accurately document procedures and resultsAdhere to safe work practices and compliance with all environmental, health, safety and security protocolsAble to come up to speed quickly and perform effectively on new projects or those the incumbent has not worked on for some timeEducation:Associates Degree or higher in Physics, Electrical Engineering (Technology), or Instrumentation TechnologyBachelor's Degree preferredEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
