If interested, send a resume to [email protected].Biomedical Equipment Technician Overview:Working underlimited supervisionthe Lead Biomedical Equipment Technician is responsible for assisting in maintaining equipment.In this role, you are responsible to provide Clinical Engineering technical and process improvement expertise to support multiple clinical locations as a field service resource. This position will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment; generate electronic service reports; provide RTLS/RFID expertise to track assets, monitor temperature, humidity, pressure, etc. and meet with leadership to provide insight on program, adhere to state and federal regulatory requirements.Key areas of responsibility include:Build credibility and trust with customers and team members by understanding, prioritizing and escalating needs, conducting pro-active regular customer/site visits and providing regular documented communications regarding status of assets and equipment.Adopt, develop, educate, implement and socialize best practices with all levels of staff and management.This should include seeking out opportunities to increase capability, capacity and initiating and/or participating in process improvement initiatives.Manage company assets effectively in accordance with established processes while meeting required State and Federal regulatory requirements. Adhere to established training, quality, and safety requirements.Perform all administrative duties within established client and regulatory timeframes including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, service orders, preventative maintenance, installation documents, site and service documentation, and other related paperwork.Independently resolve equipment and customer issues, completes PMs, FCOs, installations and diagnoses and resolves electronic, network, and mechanical problems.Perform quality assurance inspections and maintain service and calibration documentation in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer recommendations.Provide equipment planning and pre-purchase evaluations of new equipment to site and Clinical engineering management.Requirements:HS Diploma or GED Required, Associates Degree in Applied Science or related field preferredMinimum ofTWOyears related experiencein the repair and maintenance of medical equipmentMust have a valid drivers licenseAAMI certification preferredMust be capable of trouble-shooting bio-medical devices and related equipmentMust possess knowledge about the proper use of diagnostic tools, test equipment and software, where applicable.Experience working with medical hardware, software and equipment productsUnderstand medical device usage within a health system environmentStrong customer service orientation and ability to follow through issues to resolution.Ability to interact with all levels of Health System personnel to include: management staff, consulting staff, clinicians, clinical administrators, etc.Familiar with process improvement activitiesKnowledge of healthcare operations and the use of medical technology in the practicing healthcare environment requiredEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
