POSITION SUMMARY The Consultant markets, sells, manages, and delivers healthcare technology consulting services to healthcare providers in various healthcare sectors and supports healthcare incident investigations for clients. In collaboration with and under the guidance of the Senior Consultant and Investigator, the Consultant ensures the delivery of high-quality services to clients and proactively identifies ways to improve our processes. In addition, the Consultant will work closely with existing and new Device Safety service offerings, as well as cross-collaborate with other ECRI business units to coordinate and/or provide project support in their area of expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Due to the amount of business travel required, the Consultant must live within 60 miles of a major U.S. airport. Essential Functions Statement(s): Healthcare Technology Consulting: Manage and deliver healthcare technology consulting services to providers in various healthcare sectors, such as clinical engineering management, predictive replacement planning, capital device analytics, medical device procurement, and proactive assessments designed to prevent known hazards (e.g., clinical alarm management). Technology consulting engagements include, but not limited to, capital equipment replacement, capital clinical analytics, healthcare technology, healthcare operations, etc. Perform detailed, intensive research to formulate accurate and effective solutions or plans to address the client's specified needs, including, but not limited to, thorough on-site assessments and stakeholder interviews. Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner, within budget, and within client's expectations. If a project scope expands, manage the expansion, and obtain fee changes from clients in a timely manner. Maintain excellent client relations during and after project completion to favorably position ECRI for additional consulting services and memberships. Provide well-written, technically accurate, and logically defensible deliverables to clients regarding, but not limited to, technology assessments, equipment planning and management, patient safety, and incident investigations.

Marketing and Business Development: Cultivate new projects and clients on a continual basis. Write and follow up on proposals, leads, and other business possibilities to develop and bring new business to ECRI. Market consulting services and develop new methods to generate business, in collaboration with marketing and sales teams. Assess the marketplace and develop and/or modify products and services to meet client needs. Develop and maintain networks of clients to develop and sell products and services. Make presentations to potential clients and groups to sell ECRI products and services. Coordinate sales strategies with ECRI leadership. Contribute to group strategic planning, business line management, and budget planning.
