Job Description:
*Apex Systems *is seeking a Chemistfor one of our clients located near West Chester, Pennsylvania. This is a great contract to hire opportunity at a well-established and growing company that produces chemicals used by leading Pharmaceutical companies in their manufacturing process.
Chemist
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Test incoming raw materials and finished products. Make sure all materials meet product specifications.
- Inform supervisor immediately of any out of spec products.
- Perform stability and in use study of raw materials and finished products
- Calibrate lab equipment and monitor calibration records
- Operate computer controlled instruments, collect and analyze data.
- Properly document all results.
- Create Lab Reports.
- Revise SOPs and test protocols as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry or related Science Field
- Strong Wet Chemistry experience (weighing, pipetting, titration).
- Instrumental skills - GC, HPLC, FTIR, UV/Vis etc. a plus
- Basic computer skills (MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel).
- Ability to provide Internet search and obtain necessary information
- Must lift up to 50lb
