Organon & Co. Associate Director, Litigation in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania

Job Description

The Position

Reporting to the Intellectual Property, Investigations, Litigation, and Employment Law Lead, the successful candidate will be a key member of the corporate litigation team that manages Organon’s global docket of non-Intellectual Property (IP) litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a litigation portfolio comprised initially of product liability litigation, and eventually managing a mix of other non-IP litigation as well.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Juris Doctor degree, with admission to the Bar of Pennsylvania, New Jersey or the ability to qualify for in-house license in New Jersey or Pennsylvania​.

  • Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in product liability litigation in a law firm or corporate setting.

  • Experience with witness interviews and/or depositions.

  • Superior ability to analyze complex legal issues.

  • Outstanding writing and communication skills, a teamwork-oriented attitude.

  • Proven initiative and ability to manage outside counsel effectively, efficiently and within applicable budgets.

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate risks and exercise excellent legal judgment.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a solution-oriented approach to legal issues.

  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of litigation and the law.

  • Experience managing a significant workload, with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast paced and challenging environment.
