Description

We are offering a contract opportunity for an Sr. Revenue Analyst. The position is based in California.

Responsibilities

· Analyze and forecast revenue trends, providing actionable insights to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

· Collaborates with sales and development teams to create accurate revenue projections based on software sales, subscriptions, or service contracts.

· Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of revenue, including subscription and recurring revenue models.

· Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to monitor revenue streams and key metrics for a software-as-a-service (SaaS) environment.

· Conduct variance analysis and identify drivers impacting revenue performance, presenting findings to senior leadership.

· Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements for revenue recognition (e.g., ASC 606).

· Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize pricing strategies, contract structures, and billing processes, aiming to enhance profitability and growth.

· Support the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning to align revenue targets with corporate objectives.

Drive process improvements and automation in revenue-related systems and workflows, leveraging data tools and best practices to increase efficiency

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the software development industry, including knowledge of SaaS business models or subscription revenue frameworks.

  • Strong skills in financial forecasting, data analysis, and using tools like Excel, SQL, or business intelligence platforms

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, such as finance, sales, product, legal, and leadership, for revenue strategy alignment

  • Experience with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 or IFRS 15), SaaS or subscription- based revenue models and deferred revenue recognition, and advanced financial analysis

  • Excellent communication skills to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with financial compliance requirements and proactive identification of risks related to revenue reporting

  • Workday software required; advanced excel skills

· 5+ years experience in revenue analysis, financial planning and analysis or accounting in a large, public company

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

  • MBA or CPA preferred
