Job Summary: The Stock Room Clerk will work in conjunction with our MRO Stockroom Clerk to help manage various aspects of procurement activity and inventory management for indirect materials and equipment parts/spares purchased for the company. Responsible for processing and expediting orders in a timely and efficient manner. Supports the development of a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
Job Responsibilities:• Source materials and supplies according to specifications provided• Research, source, and request parts as needed for maintenance work• Maintain ERP and CMMS system data for managing spare parts inventory, which includes tasks like item, equipment and vendor card updates, order confirmations, cycle counting, item receipts, item issues, and other inventory transactions• Pick and stage materials for maintenance work scheduled to be completed, including pulling kits for PMs and subassemblies• Maintain organized and efficient inventory areas using 5S principles• Check all packing slips for incoming goods for accuracy against actual items ordered and received; note discrepancies, and supply documentation to accounting for processing• General tasks and/or projects to support maintenance and procurement team, which may include picking up crucial orders in a company vehicle• Comply with all Company rules, regulations, and policies• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Additional Skills:• Must be 18 years of age or older • GED or high school diploma is required• Valid Driver’s License required and insurable by Good Foods Group insurance company• Intermediate Computer Skills in Microsoft Suite, to include PowerPoint, Excel and Email.• Previous experience working in SAP• Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred• Excellent customer service skills• Knowledge of food industry a plus• Understanding of forecasting and inventory management• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to details• Ability to problem solve and provide strategic solutions quickly. • Must be a self-starter and able to work without close supervision.• Willingness and ability to work in a team environment.
Travel:• Travel will be local travel only, within one (1) to two (2) hours of Pleasant Prairie location. There is no overnight travel.
Work Environment: • Typical office environment • Offices with equipment noise • Offices with frequent interruptions• Mostly indoor office environment with windows• If time is needed in the plant, the employee may be subject to production environmentapproximately 85 percent of the work time. (Wet environment with temperatures in the range of 38 to 40 degrees)• Medium/High noise levels from operating machines.• Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.• Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to enforce Good Food Manufacturing (GMP’s) processes.
Physical Requirements:• Able to communicate information accurately to others• Able to detect and discern sounds accurately in order to exchange information• Able to hold stationary positions for extended periods of time• Able to move throughout workspace frequently• Able to observe details at close range, perceive colored images as well as effectively perceive computer generated images on a screen• Frequently operates computer and other office productivity machinery• Able to move up to 50lbs. occasionally• Able to work overtime and/or weekends when needed
