Job Summary: As a Category Manager at Good Foods Group, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex datasets into strategic initiatives that fuel category growth and reinforce our position as a market leader. Leveraging your analytical prowess, you will analyze category and shopper data, delivering insight-led selling capabilities that drive product development, assortment planning, and promotional strategies. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with the full sales organization and broader cross-functional teams.

Essential Job Responsibilities:• Conduct in-depth category analysis to uncover key performance drivers, providing strategic recommendations that align with Good Foods’ business objectives• Enhance our analytics capabilities, generating insightful, actionable business strategies focused on Product, Placement, Promotion, and Pricing• Collaborate with Sales account leads to develop compelling customer selling stories backed by clear, impactful insights• Work closely with Brand and Innovation teams to create selling materials that support distribution placement and ongoing business growth• Analyze syndicated panel data and shopper insights to identify trends and opportunities in consumer shopping behavior• Continuously identify, evaluate, and capitalize on trends and innovations in the CPG landscape• Contribute to cross-functional innovation planning and strategy, providing category overviews and Sales insights• Support ad hoc analytical requests, addressing data gaps and reporting needs• Comply with all company rules, regulations, and policies• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Additional Skills:• Must be 18 years of age or older• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field• 5+ years of experience in category management and/or business analytics within the CPG industry, with a track record of increasing responsibilities• Deep understanding of category management principles, shopper insights, and retail analytics• Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to transform complex data analysis into compelling, understandable presentations• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations• Ability to quickly learn and deliver on projects with a sense of urgency, prioritizing multiple workstreams and requests• Advanced experience with technical software such as SPINS, Circana, and Nielsen• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results as a self-starter

Travel: • This position will not require travel

Work Environment: • Typical office environment • Offices with equipment noise • Offices with frequent interruptions• Mostly indoor office environment with windows• If time is needed in the plant, the employee will then be subject to a production environment (wet environment with temperatures in the range of 38 to 40 degrees)• Medium/High noise levels from operating machines• Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts• Required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to enforce Good Food Manufacturing (GMP’s) processes

Physical Requirements:• Use hands to find, handle, touch and manipulate items.• Speak and/or hear• Stand for extended periods, walk and reach with hands or arms• Occasionally stoop, reach, crouch, twist and walk• Have vision abilities to include proximate vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus as well as be able to effectively see and process computer generated images on a screen• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
