INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY THERAPIST JOB DESCRIPTION
Come About Youth Services (CAYS) is seeking a self-motivated Clinical Therapist with good therapy, communication, and teamwork skills. CAYS specializes in working with youth probation and DCFS children, teens and families. However, we serve a large population of out-patient clients with many different mental health needs. Therapists will provide individual, family and group therapy, and will need to be professional (but relaxed) and possess solid documentation skills. Job Description:
The Clinical Therapist will provide individual, family, and group therapy in compliance with best practices, Medicaid requirements, and therapeutic processes approved by state and federal guidelines -- including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and other strengths-based approaches. This position requires managing a caseload of children and youth (male and female) in treatment at every level including assessment, treatment planning, treatment review, crisis management, discharge planning, and closure.
Job Requirements:
Candidate must have current Utah license as CSW, ACMHC, LCSW, or LCMHC. Experience with challenged youth preferred, and a solid theoretical grounding in empowering and strengths-based approaches is essential. A good sense of humor and non-judgmental attitude is highly recommended.
Agency Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Job Type:
Part-time negotiable hours, with possibility of full-time. **Supervision is provided
Required education:
Master's Degree in Social Work. *Interns welcome - supervision can be provided.
