    EMMI ROTH provides on the job and paid training/certifications to assist in your development!

    PREP TEAM MEMBERS hand scrapping cheese to prepare product to meet customer specifications in compliance with company policy related to GMP’s and safety. Team member rotate regularly through departments with the possibility of helping Packaging Team. Experience working with product, hand scrapping, counting inventory, operating fork lift and sanitizing.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    · Hand scraping cheeses

    · Rubbing spices on cheeses

    · Hand smearing or painting of rind washed cheese

    · Hand cutting or using machinery to cut cheese to company specifications

    · Labeling individual cheese to company specifications

    · Assembling boxes for final product

    · Placing final product and sealing the boxes with seal machine

    · Attend staff and department meetings

    · Actively participate inititatives that improve workplace safety, reduce waste and improve factory efficiencies

    · May be required to work overtime if deemed necessary with occasional weekend work.

    · Performs all other duties as assigned

    · Report any and all injuries to your supervisor or manager at the time of injury.

    · Complete all required training in a timely manner

    · Adheres to safety guidelines and complies with all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

    · Attends safety and department meetings and completes all required training in a timely manner.

    · Identifies and reports potential safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment.

    · Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)

    · Performs all other duties as assigned.

    May:

    · Take product samples for Quality Assurance Department

    · JD Edwards system entry

    · Complete pallet cards and control point paperwork

    · Move the final product for the material handlers

    Qualifications

    · Process flow knowledge of cheesemaking, prep, and packaging

    · Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers

    · Basic computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets

    · Good written and verbal communication skills

    · Ability to work with automated equipment

    · Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure

    · Ability to work in cross-functional teams

    · History of good attendance

    · Good organization and problem-solving skills

    · Detail-oriented nature

    · Ability to work with significant supervision

    · No travel required
