Job Title: Certified Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

  • The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for responding to inbound and outbound calls to customers while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity.

  • You will interact directly with customers in-person and over the phone to answer and resolve a wide variety of inquiries.

  • responsibilities include answering questions related to pharmacy services, delivery inquiries, completing refill calls, and handling pharmacy assistance calls.

  • You will also receive and process new pharmacy referrals, verify insurance coverage, facilitate prior authorization requests, accurately transcribe prescriptions, generate reports, and coordinate delivery.

Additionally, you will support pharmacological services by editing fill list verification, including insurance information and billing, aligning patient medications according to the cycle fill calendar, and updating patient information as necessary. This role involves coordinating the initiation of care with patients, caregivers, referral sources, and other providers of care. You will enter patient information into the patient record accurately and completely, maintaining all patient records in compliance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations. This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the Pharmacy Manager or, in their absence, to the Director of Operations.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Plantation, Florida.

Work Environment

100% onsite in Specialty pharmacy attached to community clinic.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm, Fridays 8:30-12:30pm (1 hour unpaid lunch, with the option to shorten lunch to maximize pay). High volume filling environment (100-150 scripts per pharmacy team/day). Team environment (3 techs, 1 pharmacist).
