The Evergreen Packaging Plant City Carton Converting Facility is located in Plant City, Florida, less thanan hour outside Tampa and its amenities and beautiful beaches. Opened in 1992 and expanded in 1998 with 195 team members, the facility prints and die cuts refrigerated gable top cartons for a variety of global brands found in retail groceries throughout the US.

The process engineer position provides support to the manufacturing operations by troubleshooting, developing processes to improve quality, cost, and efficiency. Researches the purchase and installation of new equipment as well as upgrades to existing equipment. Develops, and documents procedures used to assemble, process, test and/or manufacture of the company’s products. Other duties include the design, installation, and debug of capital equipment used throughout the division

  • Provides engineering support for all areas of the facility.

  • Define and communicates what is expected of the tool & die technicians and outside vendors, provides required resources, tools/equipment, and technical training to meet the facility goals.

  • Continuously improve the effectiveness of the preventative maintenance program with an objective of cost reduction, quality, and total customer satisfaction. Execute plans to reduce inventory investments, improve turnaround time on replacement parts, and reduce cost of vendor purchased replacement parts.

  • Supports the divisions engineering department on new product and equipment development.

  • Maintains an effective process improvement schedule on existing equipment.

  • Monitors down time and production reports for recurring problems, and meets with team members/leaders to complete a root cause analysis, works together to implement the correct solution.

  • Ensure that the team completes all training requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field of study required (Chemical, Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering)

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects

  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
