The Evergreen Packaging Plant City Carton Converting Facility is located in Plant City, Florida, less thanan hour outside Tampa and its amenities and beautiful beaches. Opened in 1992 and expanded in 1998 with 195 team members, the facility prints and die cuts refrigerated gable top cartons for a variety of global brands found in retail groceries throughout the US.

Role within Facility
This position will be considered a developmental role and a process to future leadership opportunities and will report to the Quality Team Leader.
Support aspects of the Quality programs pertaining to Process Improvement.
Perform backup to QA Team Leader.
Leading FSLT and Annual HACCP review as needed.
Includes analyzing process capability through scoped projects , identifying and building teams, analyzing data and developing sustainable solutions through engineering , work instructions and training.
Facilitate change management and lead subject matter experts to increase customer satisfaction levels and business productivity using process improvement methodology and tools.
The position requires use of basic statistics, comparative analysis, computer literate and working with teams/people that may not have experience in process measurement. SPC experience preferable
Responsible for the development of a process improvement program that will show measurable results in process efficiency, customer satisfaction and financial savings in all areas of the organization.
Take total responsibility for projects assigned, create timelines, and manage all program elements including proactive communications regarding initiatives. Keep management within Leadership & Career Development informed.
Training – Ensure materials and training are effectively implemented to optimize process control and drive improvement.
Initial training to support role:
Period with QA TL to develop understanding of Quality systems, Specifications and requirements.
Periods working with Printing( OS-1) and Sealing(OS-2)work systems to develop process understanding
Potential visits to Mill and customers to augment understanding of raw materials and finished product performance expectations
Periods training with Support systems such as pre-press, supply chain, maintenance and plant engineering.
Engineering degree or equivalent preferred.
General knowledge of manufacturing process , process control including machine output capabilities.
Ability to lead and coordinate the efforts of others.
SPC knowledge and ability to generate and utilize data to make decisions.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to make accurate data based decisions in a timely manner.
3-5 years of business experience ideally in a high volume-manufacturing environment.
Previous experience managing manufacturing, quality or operations in a leadership role is highly preferred.
Able to work in unstructured environment to identify problems and drive change within the organization.
Work effectively with areas of the organization, to include customers and vendors.
