Materials Technician - Fulltime Days

We’re looking for a qualified Materials Technicians like you to join our Texas Health family.

Work location: Texas Health Plano - 6200 West Parker Road TX 75093

Work hours: Full Time | Sunday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm with Rotating Saturdays once every Six (6) weeks. Must be available for 1 week of system training in Arlington, TX 76011

Supply Chain Management Department highlights:

  • Works collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff and leaders to provide supplies for patient care.

  • Huddles daily as a team to discuss the day ahead and any barriers.

Here’s What You Need

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • 1 Year Relevant experience in materials management Preferred and

  • 1 Year Customer service experience Preferred

  • Ability to meet time standards required by position. Basic computer, reading and writing skills. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle moderately difficult requests by performing necessary research.

What You Will Do

  • Performs various Warehouse/Storeroom tasks including, receiving, stocking, filing of delivery paperwork/documents, including but not limited to:

  • Ensure the accuracy of the automated inventory system and assists with the smooth flow of supplies.

  • Assists with the removal of expired supplies and appropriate documentation and ensuring the integrity of sterile supplies.

  • Standards for stocked goods are maintained and in compliance with regulatory standards (i.e. the Joint Commission).

  • Assists with required inventories.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the storeroom.

  • Answers the phone, returns calls, pagers and assists departments with questions, concerns and special requests.
