JPMorgan Chase Lead Data Analyst - Vice President, Client Tax Operations in Plano, Texas

As a Lead Data Analyst - Vice President within the Client Tax Operations team, you will be pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making processes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and optimizing our tax operations through advanced data analytics, intelligent automation tools such as Alteryx, and data visualization tools like Tableau. You will develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics. You will continuously evaluate and integrate new automation technologies to optimize tax operations. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data analytics, automation, and visualization into tax operations.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of data analytics strategies to support Client Tax Operations

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive operational improvements and compliance

  • Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure data accuracy and compliance with tax regulations

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance tax reporting and compliance

  • Provide data-driven insights to support tax planning and optimization initiatives

  • Utilize intelligent automation tools such as Alteryx to streamline data workflows, enhance data processing efficiency, and reduce manual intervention

  • Design, develop, and implement automated solutions to improve data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth

  • Communicate complex data findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security

  • Implement data quality controls and perform regular audits to maintain high standards of data quality

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Accounting

  • 4+ years of experience in financial services

  • High-level knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools like Tableau

  • Experience with intelligent automation tools such as Alteryx

  • Experience with data governance and data quality management

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

  • Robust leadership and team management abilities

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred

  • Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics techniques

  • Knowledge of financial systems and products

  • Knowledge of withholding and information reporting
