Luminator is seeking to fill our full-time  Electrical Engineer  role to join our growing and dynamic Aerospace Engineering Team where you will be an integral part of the team by providing valuable input as we work toward assessing and implementing goals and mission of the department and Luminator. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.

  • May be required to Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational, safety, or environmental standards.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    A suitable candidate for the Aerospace Electrical Engineer position will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering degree with an electrical or electronics engineering emphasis required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • 4-7 years of verifiable relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in using Electronics design tools such as Altium, PADS or Cadence.

  • Proven experience designing microcontroller-based projects from concept to finished product.

  • Experience operating lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters.

  • Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C) and other hardware interfaces.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Knowledge of National Instruments LabVIEW/LabWindows is a plus.

  • Experience writing firmware and digital electronics design is a plus.

  • Experience designing electronics for regulated industries such as medical or aerospace is a plus.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio is beneficial.

     

    ADDITIONAL PRIORITIES: 

  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

  • Use logic and reasoning to identify and communicate the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
