Community Hospital Corporation Corporate Director of Custom Contracting, Supply Chain in Plano, Texas

Community Hospital Corporation (CHC), a DFW Top 100 Employer, is looking for a Corporate Director of Custom Contracting based out of our home office in Plano, TX. This position will be a key driver of cost reduction and operational efficiency through the development and execution of best-in-class contracting strategies.

The Corporate Director of Custom Contracting, reporting to the VP of Strategic Accounts and Vendor Management, will focus on transitioning facility contracts to HealthTrust, creating group agreements where possible, optimizing contract portfolios, and building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. The ability to analyze data, conduct negotiations, and influence decision-making will be crucial in achieving significant cost savings and delivering exceptional value to the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals.

  • Conducting market analysis and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

  • Developing negotiation strategies and leading contract negotiations.

Contract Management

  • Overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, from creation to termination.

  • Ensuring contract compliance and risk mitigation.

  • Managing contract portfolio performance and identifying optimization opportunities.

  • Implementing contract changes and amendments as needed.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyzing procurement data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Developing and presenting performance metrics to stakeholders.

  • Conducting cost-benefit analysis for sourcing initiatives.

  • Track and report cost savings.

Project Management

  • Leading cross-functional sourcing projects from initiation to completion.

  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.

  • Ensuring successful project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Providing leadership and mentorship to sourcing team members.

  • Developing and implementing sourcing processes and best practices.

  • Building a high-performing sourcing team culture.

Stakeholder Management

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Aligning sourcing initiatives with business objectives.

Requirements

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, or supply chain.

  • GPO experience preferred.

  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings through contract negotiations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.

  • Healthcare industry experience required.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Category Management: Knowledge of different product and service categories and their market dynamics.

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the specific industry and its procurement landscape.

  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Awareness of relevant laws and regulations affecting procurement.
