Luminator Technology Group Benefits Manager in Plano, Texas

We are seeking a Benefits Manager at Luminator Technologies to lead the design, implementation, and management of our global benefits programs. This pivotal role includes ensuring competitive and sustainable benefits aligned with organizational goals and employee needs, thereby enhancing worldwide employee satisfaction.

Your role will evolve to encompass increased responsibilities in compensation management, including the development of salary structures, market analysis, and performance-based pay programs. You will remain abreast of industry trends, driving process improvements, project managing annual programs and new implementations for successful launches, and championing efforts to engage employees effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of global employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and wellness initiatives.

  • Manage relationships with benefits providers, negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor performance, and conduct regular reviews and audits.

  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing benefits programs to enhance employee satisfaction and retention, conducting market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive offerings.

  • Ensure all benefit programs comply with federal and state laws, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA, staying current with changes in laws and regulations and adjusting company policies accordingly.

  • Lead the annual benefits open enrollment process, including planning, communication, and execution.  Assist new employees with benefits enrollment.

  • Administer the 401(k) plan, including enrollment, contributions, distributions, compliance with ERISA regulations, and conduct regular audits to ensure plan compliance and prepare necessary reports for regulatory agencies.

  • Develop and maintain leave of absence policies, including FMLA, ADA, and other applicable leave types, managing leave of absence cases from initiation to return-to-work, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

  • Design and execute communication strategies to educate employees about benefits offerings and wellness programs.

  • Utilize existing knowledge of compensation principles and practices to support benefits and wellness program integration, with a strong willingness to learn and grow in compensation, preparing to take on broader responsibilities in the future.

  • Assist in the development of total rewards strategies that align with organizational goals, support HR and business leaders in decision-making with data analysis and reporting.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in benefits, 401(k) management, and wellness programs.

  • Proven experience in benefits management, including 401(k) plan administration and leave of absence management.

  • Demonstrated expertise managing 401(k) committees, including coordinating meetings, preparing materials, and ensuring compliance with fiduciary responsibilities and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data related to compensation and benefits to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Experience with reporting and ad-hoc analyses to support HR and business leaders in decision-making.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to effectively interact with team members at all levels, ensuring clear and timely communication.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously, and maintain detailed records and reports.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Willingness to take on increased responsibilities in compensation management, including the development of salary structures, conducting market analysis, and overseeing performance-based pay programs.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in related field

  • Relevant certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CEBS

  • Experience with ADP

  • Understanding of international benefits programs and regulations, with the ability to manage and integrate global benefits offerings.

  • Experience developing and implementing comprehensive total rewards strategies that align with organizational goals and employee needs.

  • Previous experience conducting compensation market research and benchmarking.
