Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Civil Project Manager to join a full-service Engineering Consulting company located in Plainville CT. The ideal candidate will be on-site 5 days a week with some hybrid flexibility down the road. This person should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field. They should also have 8+ years of experience in engineering design. The Civil Project Manager will handle a variety of duties including: Identifying prospective clients, and in conjunction with senior management, arrange to make a proposal. As well as determining major project design decisions and assigning duties to the project team.

Responsibilities also include:

• Prepares proposal estimates of time and expense required to complete the project.

• May participate in presenting the proposal to the client.

• Participates in selecting the Project Team.

• Determines major project design decisions in conjunction with client and Project Officer.

• Assigns duties to the Project Team, answers their questions, and monitors their progress.

• Checks the accuracy of completed work.

• Maintains close relationship with the client throughout the development of the project as well as after the project is completed.

• Provides administrative supervision of assigned staff members, including performance feedback and recommending staff members for advancement.

• Performs work safely and insists that subordinates work safely, consistent with the firm's policies and procedures.

• Performs other related work as apparent or assigned.

• Fully responsible for project scope, schedule, and budget.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

• Extensive experience in the construction/civil engineering field

• EIT certification - Strong verbal and written communications skills

• Master's Degree in related field

• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal, problem solving, and team skills

• Experience interacting with clients

• PE Certification null
