Actalent Aerospace Electrical Engineer in Plainview, New York

Hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer for a leader in solving the aerospace industry’s

most challenging ice protection and temperature control problems!

Responsibilities: As an Aerospace Electrical Engineer, you will:

  • Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, and systems.

  • Design electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for aerospace and defense purposes, adhering to Military Standards and DO-160.

  • Prepare schematics, bills of materials, printed circuit boards, wiring harnesses, and assembly drawings to support qualification and production builds.

  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and departments to ensure overall system form, fit, function, and safety requirements are met.

  • Direct engineering personnel in fabricating test control apparatus and qualification/production test support equipment.

  • Determine methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products in accordance with system requirements.

  • Ensure manufacturing procedures, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.

  • Coordinate repair assistance for production and field returns.

  • Support production test procedures in collaboration with quality assurance.

  • Address obsolescence issues and verify/validate new sources in coordination with purchasing and manufacturing.

  • Prepare engineering change notices (ECNs) following configuration management standards.

  • Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.

  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software for engineering tasks.

Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 3+ Years of professional experience in an aerospace manufacturing company

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university or an Electrical Engineering Technology degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

  • Strong language skills, including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and effectively communicate with various stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and geometry.

  • Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to handle diverse situations.
