Summary:
- Procedural Technicians function in both non-sterile and sterile capacities by creating an optimal environment for the procedural patient. Procedural Technicians possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate invasive, therapeutic, and / or diagnostic procedures. Procedural Technicians perform a wide range of duties including but not limited to aseptic technique, sterile technique, scrubbing, decontamination and sterilization.
Responsibilities:
- Creates a customer-friendly environment consistent with the organization's patient-care model. Demonstrates regard for the dignity and respect of all patients, their families, guests, representatives, as well as fellow employees, volunteers and medical staff. Supports the organizations mission to provide consistent quality health care services in a professional, caring and responsive environment.Maintain professional growth and development through formal education, seminars, workshops, professional affiliations, and encourage staff to do the same. Assumes accountability for assigned specialty functioning in accordance to the Medical Center at Princeton s Develops a plan for staffing and capital expenses and ensures the specialty operates within allocated funds.Consults and collaborates with colleagues to improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of patient care. Mentors' growth and development of all staff.Supports chain of communication through team structure.Float responsibilities to Main OR, ASC (MAP), and ASC (Monroe).Flex responsibilities that include covering overnights and weekends or as needed.Review the specialties performance in relation to established goals implement change to effect continual improvement in the service line provided and assure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Credentials:
Certified Surgical Technologist (Required)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
Education Specialization:Equivalent Experience:
Other (Required)
Education Specialization:Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologists Program.Equivalent Experience:•And 2+ years 2 years' experience. Must scrub multiple service lines.
