Description:

The Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair physical structures, pipe and electrical systems, mechanical and hydraulic components of the production department machines and equipment, and machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic and conveyor systems. Perform a variety of maintenance and repair duties under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager. This positions hours start at 11am for an 8-10 hours shift.

Essential Functions:

• Performs minor electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance. Tasks to include (but not limited to) replacement of wall switches, outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs, ballasts, transformers, sockets, and fuses.

• Performs minor plumbing maintenance, repair, and installation. Tasks to include repairing of leaks in water supplies, drains, faucets, and laboratory fixtures. Clears obstructions from drain lines.

• Performs minor HVAC maintenance and repairs. Tasks to include filter replacement, belt changes and greasing of bearings.

• Performs minor carpentry repairs. Tasks to include repairs to masonry, woodwork, walls, and furnishings, patches or replaces plaster/plaster board, paints walls and ceilings and trim, cuts, and lays flooring (linoleum, tile, carpet, etc.

Job Requirements

• 2 to 5 or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance with electrical experience

• Welding experience in a maintenance environment

• Experience in Pneumatic and hydraulic experience preferred

• Troubleshoot industrial electrical up to 480v and PLC experience is a plus

• Ability to work on a team where they effectively communicate with production employees to problem solve

• Leadership is a soft skill that they are looking for in their new hires
