Aerotek Forklift Operator in Plainfield, Illinois

Forklift Operator/2nd shift/$19/hr./Plainfield IL

Job Description

We are seeking Forklift Operators for our shipping department. This position requires managing paper-based records as there is no ERP system in the facility. Effective communication with team leads and clerks is essential. The role includes working the 2nd shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, with overtime available on Saturdays. Initial training will be provided on the 1st shift for 1-2 weeks, depending on the candidate's proficiency. The role offers a pay rate of $19/hr on the 2nd shift.

Hard Skills

  • Sit down Forklift operation with at least 1 year of experience

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs

  • Experience in manual pallet picking and shrink wrapping

  • Proficiency in handling paper-based documentation

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to various tasks as needed

  • Willingness to work in a team

Shifts &Pay

2nd shift (2:30pm-10 pm)

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Plainfield, Illinois.

Work Environment

The work environment involves a team of 5-10 people in a large facility. It is a team-oriented, fast-paced, loud, and occasionally dirty environment, depending on the area of work.
