TEKsystems Low Voltage Installer in Plain City, Ohio

Job Description:

​The primary focus of the project involves the installation of Cat5/Cat6 cabling. We are currently seeking to hire four installation technicians in Columbus to join our team. The technicians will be responsible for installing hardware on a daily basis, working closely with an in-house programmer. Each technician will work on various job sites daily, meeting their team lead at the office to travel together in a company vehicle.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Running Cat5/Cat6 cabling

  • Installing and configuring hardware

  • Collaborating with the in-house programmer

  • Working on diverse job sites daily

  • Meeting team lead at the office and traveling together

  • Utilizing company vehicles for transportation

Typical Work Hours and Schedule:

The work hours for this role typically range from 7 AM to 4 PM, although they may vary based on the project requirements. Overtime is common in this position. The standard schedule includes working from Monday to Friday.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in cable installation

  • Experience with CCTV systems

  • Expertise in low-voltage installations

  • Knowledge of Cat5 and Cat6 cabling

  • Familiarity with access control systems and security hardware

  • Skills in telecommunications and alarm systems

  • Capable of cable pulling and management
