JOB DESCRIPTION Accountant

Location: Warsaw

Division: Finance

Line Manager: Finance Manager

Contract Terms: 3 months’ probation period, if successful – 1 year contract.

THE JOB

You will be working in the finance team in Ticketmaster in the office located in Warsaw, helping to prepare accounting studies and financial reports by completing accounting activities recording financial transactions. Successful applicant will be responsible for reconciliation accounts, booking documents and reporting part of the department.

Reporting to the Finance Manager and regional Controlling Department, you will provide key support to the business, applying relevant accounting techniques and standards to identify and resolve issues.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Processing transactions, verifying information, escalating problem items

  • Reconciliation of accounts, preparing bank transfers

  • Ensuring daily output maintains department/team standards for quality and timeliness

  • Ensuring deadlines and/or requirements are being met

  • Managing daily sales reporting

  • Following up on open inquiries

  • Interacting with other departments on resolution of issues

  • Contributing to Management Reporting (ie: dues, cash reports, Forecasts, budgets, R and A analysis)

  • Understanding of the big picture of how specific function impacts the firm

  • Gaining efficiencies to improve productivity

  • Managing multiple tasks and/or projects efficiently

  • Taking part in a month end reporting process

  • Business travel

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills (functions, pivot table)

  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English – a must

  • Understanding General Ledger, financial accounting, reporting, controlling, internal control or investment

  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work with numbers

  • Practical knowledge of Symfonia system (strong advantage)

  • Teamwork – work with Ticketmaster team to ensure cohesive and inclusive collaboration

  • Communication – must be clear in your communication, both internally and to Clients

  • Open – you should be open to new duties in a work organization
